Gov Ododo, Visits Custech Versity Amidst Student Kidnap

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s Solidarity Visit to CUSTECH alongside His Special Adviser on youths and students affair’s.

On May 9th, 2024, Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) faced a criminal invasion that resulted in the abduction of students. In response, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, promptly visited the university for an on-the-spot assessment and inspection. This visit demonstrated the Governor’s concern for the welfare of the abducted students and the university community.

During his visit, Governor Ododo evaluated the existing security measures and engaged in discussions to develop strategies for preventing such incidents in the future. 

While speaking to news men the Special Adviser to the governor on youths and students affairs says

  ” His Excellency stands in solidarity with the affected students, their families, and the entire university community. The Governor, alongside the state’s security apparatus, is working tirelessly to ensure the safe return of the abducted students.

Governor Ododo’s commitment to the safety and well-being of all citizens, including students, remains unwavering. We will continue to work together to ensure that our educational institutions remain safe and secure for all. “
